Meet Scout

Scout is a 1989 paint gelding. He was surrendered by his owner, along with Plaything LL, Kay Cs Snowy Star and Ima Awesome Kat. He stands in cross ties, lifts all 4 feet, and loves to be groomed. He is very gentle, has great ground manners, and loves attention. He has moon blindness in one eye, but he has already demonstrated how well he gets around with this slight handicap. He will have a full evaluation on his riding experience as soon as the weather allows and his feet are healed. At this time, we cannot make any predications as to his future use.

Update March 1, 2008, Scout was ridden for the first time, he knows all of his skills, but needs to freshen them up a bit, he will be a great addition to the Horse Rangers program.

Update June 29th, Scout has been lame for the past 3 weeks and will be reevaluated for his abilities and future use

Update September 1st, Scout is sound again, yeah!! He is available for loan as a pasture pet, or very light riding, with a very light person. No showing or trail riding. Ideal situation would be grandparents that want a horse for the grandkids on the weekend or a companion for that lone show horse at a farm. He is very well trained and has let very little kids ride him around the arena. He has very good ground manners and is very loving.
